I haven't been convinced that OHC are better than push-rods on normally aspirated engines anyway. GM has come out with some fine push-rod OHV engines that are just as good or better than OHC engines. IE the GM 5.7LS1 can easily match or beat the Ford 4.6LDOHC HP numbers with the same or better emissions and fuel economy...even with larger displacement. You can make a pushrod engine easily handle 8000RPM, plenty for street and most racing applications. The only advantage that I can see that OHC engines have over OHV is that the OHV are usually a little more course (just slightly). It seems that OHV engines are generally a little more torquey than OHC engines. I guess it just depends on the application.
