Something for SUV Haters to Consider

I don't plan on owning a SUV any time soon, (even though I admit I'd rather have one than a wagon any day), but the SUV haters have to realize the market for such vehicles in the US. They should remember this when they bash our beloved SAAB for going ahead with the 9-8.
Example from the May edition of Car & Driver: GM sold 19,222 Hummer H2s in 2002, which is particularly impressive since they cost over $50k, the economy's not well and they didn't go on sale until July, 2002! It's the only GM vehicle that does NOT come with a cash-back or sweetheart financing deal as well. At that rate, a full 12 months of sales should be worth about 38,500 sales, which is roughly the total number of sales for SAAB in the US of all models!
The bottom line is that this is a market that SAAB MUST tap into. Rest assured, they'll still make cars you'll want to buy and remember, you don't have to buy a 9-8 either.
