You're too young to buy one of those Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 17 Sep 2015 16:55:37 In Reply to: New Corvettes, No Snaab, Wed, 16 Sep 2015 09:25:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was at a local car show in Saline maybe four years ago. Main street split the show in half and all of the cars on the North side of town were Corvettes - mostly newer C7 models (I think the newest model is a C8). Until that show I never would have guessed that you could stow two collapsible geriatric walkers in a Corvette!
No kidding, the average age of the owners of the newest models appeared to be north of 70. I have no idea how these owners, who needed walkers to tour the show, could enter and exit their cars without aid of an engine hoist. Even Corvette fans who have owned their cars for many years and are in their 40's lament the current average age of ownership.
I guess Corvettes are the new Buick, based on age of owners. Even the President of GM posed next to a Corvette for her recent feature article in the AARP magazine.
