I hate to say it, a quick trip to the poor house, but an awfully nice way to arrive there. The hydraulics, if neglected, can bury you financially, the brakes use a French (Citroen?) system with ultra-high pressure accumulators which each cost a small fortune, I think some suspension action may be tied into this system as well, when it goes, hold onto your wallet. The engine is bulletproof, the transmission is GM so no big issues there. If you are considering one, aviod paint and bodywork issues, ditto interior problems, there are plenty of these cars around and you can't fix the cosmetics cheaply. On a final note, when the cars were new owners with sporting blood purchased a Harvey Bailey suspension kit which upgraded springs and shocks, this made them much less barge-like in handleing dept, not a Lotus but much improved. The kits another 5k if you neeed one now.....
BR,
John
