chevy cheapness is good

I had to take apart portions of the interior of 2 imapalas and 1 chevy truck this week. These are police cruisers that I had to mount new antennas atop and hide the cabling all the way to the center console.
All those poorly fitting plastic interior trim pieces make the car almost as easy as Legos to take apart and reassemble. So much easier than a newish Saab and it's use-once plastic breakable clips. I was very glad to be working on these instead of Saabs.
For example in the truck, remove the A pillar cover with a tug, and you can see right down into the fusebox area. It's not actually a fusebox like on a 9-3/9-5, but rather a side access hole into the dash where some fuses are displayed. No fishing of wires, they dropped right down. Then there was this sharp metal lip sticking down from the knee bolster. It looked sort of unsafe, but it was rolled toward the front of the truck, and had holes in it for me to wire tie my cable to.
Probably not the greatest vehicles to drive, but very easy to work on!
