GM ought to tap the SAAB as a JR. Caddy. The older people buying Caddys are only getting older. SAAB can bring a younger audience to the Showroom. I had a 69 Caddy that used to get 18 MPG, and a Toyota Celica GT liftback that got 19 MPG. I traded in the Toyota for another Caddy, because I was always disappointed with the fuel economy on the Celica.
People would still razz me about how I was "too young" to be in a Coupe de Ville. I was 28. As a kid I remember an old saying relating to the success of GM. "As Cadillac goes, so goes GM." Does anyone remember the Cadillac Cimarron? One of the Worse cars ever sold as a Cadillac.
GM and Caddy need to shake up and wake up. SAAB can energize the Caddy brand, particularily if they build the Aero-X, and make a clone for Caddy.
my 3.5 cents
