...but I would listen to Mike Lynch and at least look at a 9-5 Aero or Arc (even with the slushbox). Same Viggen engine in the Aero, more refinement, slight reduction in performance, but all the Saab qualities. The car is a little bit dated by now but for the price....is there really a better deal out there right now?
Only downside for me is resale value (which current incentives will not do you any favors on).
The BMW 330i is a spectacular car that everyone and their mother drives.
As a V70R owner, I would advise you to take a look at an S60R or V70R -- but not with the autobox, as they are down on power compared to the manual. Right now, if you can find an '04 S60R, drive it. Volvo is offering them for a song with all the incentives, and while AWD isn't something you would need in Atlanta, it is helpful to performance overall.
You can't go wrong with any of these cars; it just comes down to personal preference now.
Good luck!
