I have a 1990 9000 CD with just around 145k. The car is in pristine condition. Got it at a auction about 5 years ago and I am the second owner. Previous owner was a dentist from Greenwich, CT and had the car maintained exclusively at the dealer (Pray Saab in Greenwich). I have all service records and this car was maintained by the book by Pray Saab untill I acquired it. I hate to sell it but really want to buy I am in a position to buy my first new car. Here are the basic stats on the car. I am a former mechanic and did most of the work myself after acquiring the car. Most of the parts were bought from Eeuroparts.
Car is a 5 speed with a brand new OEM Saab transmission, clutch and slave installed at 110K by Pray Saab in Greenwich. Not sure why? (I have the invoice).
The following work was done myself:
Entire exhaust system is 2 years old.
Front and rear brakes. OEM saab pads and Brembo rotors.
New crank seal, oil pump seal and harmonic balancer.
Brand new engine mounts.
All new cooling hoses,t-stat and heater core.
Both front CV boots replaced.
New serpentine belt.
The only negatives.
Headliner is sagging.
A/C currently does not work but is still charged. I went cheap on a rebuilt compressor and learned the hard way. Brand new hoses, condenser, receiver dryer, expansion valve, etc.
What do you guys think is a fair asking price? I am going to try and attach a picture. When Saabs future was questionable I had people stopping at my mothers house asking about the car. I only drive it on the weekends and have another car for my commute to work. The car would be listed on the classifieds here first.
