Generally, and I mean GENERALLY, how are MB dealers.... Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 28 Sep 2004 20:58:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
For the first time we're taking the '97 E320 into the dealer for service. The indy we've used for about 20 years of Mercedes-ing has finally become too technolgically deficient, and does not know what he's doing with the newer computer-ful cars. I'd trust him to rebuild a Ferrari engine (which he does regularly) but today he couldn't diagnose some simple issues. (ABS/TCS light, CEL, tranny clunking)
Anyway, I know that dealer service departments are all different, but some brands (I've had horrible experience with the local Saab dealer) are better than others. Overall, what have your experiences with MB dealers been like? Interestingly enough, the hourly rate at the dealer is only a few bucks more per hour than my indy. For anyone that's interested, the dealer is Smith Motors in Haverhill, MA, which supposedly has a top-notch reputation.
