Have any of you guys had experience with the 1998-2002 Mercedes CLK class? I am curious about the sportiness of its ride let's say as compared to Saab. Traditionally Mercedes has not been known for its sporty ride but is this model an exception? Does it have that soft boaty feel like most Benzes? Is a V6 enough for a car of that weight performance-wise or is the CLK430 the only way to go?

I have only driven a 1995 E320 Benz and a 1998 Saab 9000 so these are my two points of reference. They cannot be further apart as far as agility and ride quality. Love the breezy, effortless gliding ride of the 9k, was wondering where the CLK would fit in. I really like the classic design of the W208 platform, not crazy about the later design.
