My parent's 9-3's tranny was in the process of blowing up on them, so they decided to trade it in on another car. A new one they could pay cash for. I made several suggestions, one being the suzuki kisashi, which was a complete after thought to me. which is the car they actually ended up buying. I was suprised by how nice of a car it is. Last suzuki I was on was my S50, and the last suzuki I was in that had doors was in high school, it was my friends samurai.
Anyways, that is a really nice car. No replacement for my 9-5 obviously, but If I had to go out and buy a car tomorrow, it would be very high on my list (of course I would try to wait for the new baby aston martin to come out, I mean 2013 Ford Fusion) They bought a base model with one option - the cvt. but it comes with a lot of kit. My two year old son Loved it, and crawled all over the inside of it!
But I think I would want to wait to see if they came out with like a 1.8l turbo with the all wheel drive option maybe? They have a new partnership with vw, what are their euro engine options?
