FDII = Freedom Drive 2 = Trail rated package. Posted by Johnson [Email] (#3237) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnson) on Sun, 28 Oct 2012 13:43:04 In Reply to: Re: bought the jeep., No Snaab, Sun, 28 Oct 2012 06:10:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
On all the jeep forums they refer to it as FDII So i'm trying to pick up the lingo.
Will it do EVERYTHING? probably not, but pretty darn near close. I def need a lift and some better off road tires. I touched my nose on one obstacal (could have avoided it with a lift/bigger tires/getting out of the truck and looking before going)
But It will easilly do 85% of what I want it to do as it is now, and 95% when I lift it. and that last 5% probably should only be tackled by dedicated off road vehicles anyways.
It was funny, we got stuck behind two new JKU rubicons on the way up the hill, and so they decided to show off, and took some pretty rough stuff, and I just threw it into low and followed behind them. I think they were annoyed that i could! My dad saw my truck before we went out and my vids... I think he's tempted to get one as well. they have a tahoe that is 10 years old and is showing its age, and they use it to commute most of the time, and it gets 12mpg with its huge v8. so he's tempted by something that can do just about everything he needs out of his tahoe and gets good gas mileage.
