I've seen a few around. To me it looks comparable to the 9-3x in size, so much much smaller than the Evoque. The 9-3x was really interesting to me (living in a snowy location) as it combined AWD with just a little more clearance than the standard 9-3sc. The only downside with either is cargo space and/or legroom in the back seat - they're just a bit shorter than the og9-5 wagon which is the perfect size for us. I found the Subarus (Forester and Outback) are raised a bit too much, in that it deteriorates the driving experience. I much prefer the c900 stance: enough underbody clearance to go nicely through snow, a low enough seating position (and low center of gravity) to make it feel like driving a sports car.
It is very good to hear the X1 drives nicely. Would be interested to hear some mpg data over time. How comfortable are the seats on a long drive? Will be interesting to see if a hybrid option becomes available also!
