iihs crash test info Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sun, 14 Sep 2014 03:44:20 In Reply to: Re: Dodge Charger, Brianatl [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 12 Sep 2014 18:08:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
While the charger probably is decent in crash tests - remember iihs tests don\t paint the whole picture - real life data is more relevant as saabs were designed to deal with crashes that are not in the standard tests. My indy was telling me about a customer in a c900 who hit a 2 ton truck in a low partial overlap head on and walked away... but even recently Toyotas were having trouble passing this new test... the other manufacturers design to pass the standard tests. Saab and Volvo designed the cars to be as safe as they could for the time and based on real world safety data they collected. Swedes have cared about safety for a long time!
