it gives you a broader range of power which is how pretty much all new turbo cars are built. I feel with the older style of turbo's where it takes longer to spool up it makes it more difficult to give a big power band. Thus it using the proper sized/tuned/etc turbo usually gives a curv which looks like what Jak did where you have similar max HP for a few thousand RPM's.
My SPG is the same way & I was trying to read a dyno sheet from the car which I unfortunantly spilled water on. I have a pretty flat curv from a little over 4,000 (I originally thought it was 3600 but it's not) to the 7,400 rpm redline.
I feel when the power vurv looks more like this / that it's tuned more for max power & not useable power :)
