is it possible to do the mains and rods, rings with engine in and head off? Has it been done in a pinch? I aquired a second 88 9000 that needs a rebuild and I do not have garage space to store engine on stand. I basically have limited garage space and not very much time to do a full rebuild. very low mileage but there seems to be a lower end issue.
Potential problems would be lifting the crank up, and the piston install would have to be a 2 man job.
If it is a major PITA I'll have to arrange more garage time and room to do it right on a stand.
thoughts?
