LPT starting problem Posted by Andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andy) on Wed, 29 Mar 2006 06:06:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all,
I just converted my 87 900s to LPT yesterday. It cranked up last night just fine. Initially, the idle was a bit rough, but it smoothed itself out after a short while. I took it up the street for a test drive, which is when the water line from the top of the block to the turbo started spraying green stuff everywhere. I got it back to the driveway before I ran out of water, and it did not get a chance to overheat. I resealed the water line and topped off the coolant last night before going to bed. I came out to crank her up this morning to test the seal, and the car will not start. It was a little cooler outside this morning than it was when I cranked it, but it was 78 degrees last night and maybe 70 this morning- would that have anything to do with it (doesn't seem like a big enough change to have any significant effect)? I checked the oil and there is no water in it (headgasket is fine.) I did not do anything to the timing, does that sound like it would be the problem? Please help.
