thought 3.0 fpr's were more for LH 2.4? Seem to recall numerous posts by Jak et al suggest staying with stock fpr on LH 2.2 for numerous reasons. A rrfpr might be a better solution for higher-rpm fueling with the 24's. I'm driving an 87 so have been noting suggested mods in many posts (especially since the car came with a Trent Malpassi rrfpr (uninstalled so far). i have put the 24# injectors in and did notice the slight improvement of about 10% which they are supposed to give with a 2.5 bar fpr.
the other thing this car came with (supposedly) is a Speedparts Stage 1 chip, which i understand is available in not expensive at all. You might wanna research that.
another thing that's been done is the Volvo EFI system graft. The 2.5L Volvo Turbo fuel map is more rich at higher RPM, unlike the Saab map. again, if interested do some searching in the archives or email me if you want more details. However sounds like it might be a bit too in-depth for what you want.
You might wanna consider a 9000T clutch upgrade too. check out fix my saab on the web. the K&N open-air intake is a good thing too.

ps can you get the part number off the head of your car? its viewable on the DS of the head, toward the firewall. i'd be curious to know if you have the very early 85 head, or the regular 900T head. 752170 is the standard head p/n. the early 85 head means the block is actually an 8vt block, and the head is designed with a smaller combustion chamber than standard head to compensate for the lower CR 8vt pistons in the block.
whew!
