After letting the dealer have it for a week, I suggested they try re-installing the stock front pads, which were only used for a week before I had them replaced with ceramics. Well, the ceramic fronts must have been shot due to the heat from track use. The dealer had said on visual inspection, they had 15% pad life left, which should have been enough, but apparently not. After replacing the fronts only with new SAAB pads, the pedal is back. So it was probably not the master cylinder all along. Now I have a spare I guess.
