With a pre-'90 9000T the biggest single upgrade is a professionally modified APC along with a 3 bar fuel pressure regulator. Then one of JAK's ECU fuel chips and a properly mod'ed ignition retard diaphragm (not just a "tweaked" one. As far as a bigger turbo JAK can do his chip upgrade accordingly and recommend the right injectors. A later 9000 2.3L swap isn't a bolt in, lots of differences. What else can be done?-An early 9000T is easy to build a real cold air intake for, I could fill you in on how I did both of mine. When you go to a bigger turbo & BPV a full 3" exhaust system is a must, I'm eventually going to a divided one on both of my early 9000's. A better cylinder head without the goofy early intake port design would be great but it's the least bang for the buck HP wise however when there's a head gasket failure it's a good time for a '91-'93 head upgrade. Other than a tube type header or internal engine mod's that's about it other than a larger intercooler and plumbing. Dave
