With my SPG I mentioned it to them due to the value of the car is totally different then what the blue book states. So I keep all of my receipts & take pics of everything so if something does happen to the car I have info to back it up. They do not need to know the HP or anything like that however when they ask me what I have done I tell them. If I pay a little more now I am willing to do so in the hopes they will back me up if the car is totalled or gets stolen etc. Also due to the fact I take the car to drivers schools I want it to be covered there as well

With stereo stuff I also tell them that I have X dollars involved so if the policy does not cover it they will make a policy for me that does

The viggen they have never asked
