If you attempt to bypass the ABS control module, you will not get a speedometer reading. There are wheel sensors and i believe that the speedometer is gettting input from them at the rear wheels. That is why on a dyno there is no speedometer reading. BUT if the ABS control module connected to the ABS pump if bypassed you will not get speed readings. And when the ABS module is not working, braking is effected. It actually throws off the braking and gives more pressure to the rear wheels so the car feels awkward.
Just food for thought as you build your race car. You will have to some how overcome the ABS system to gain speedo and proper braking.
I wonder if an older master cylindar from a 900 could be bolted up onto the brake booster and re-run the lines to the brakes to bypass this, but you still have the problem of the speedo.
Good luck.
