I would put a single wire bosch o2 in an extra hole in the exhaust, and connect it to an a/f meter. My 75 99 has an auto meter that cost me 80.00
Works great, very fast response time. My 78 Chev suburban has one on each bank, lets you know if the carb is adjusted and jetted right. Any exhaust shop can make a hole in the pipe before the cat, and weld on threads for a sensor-
