the fourth option is vince tong's unit, which is similar in concept to the quaiffe.
i agree, chad, i think both the quaiffe and vince's unit will wear quickly as they rely on the direct friction between the two sliiping plates and the axle surface.
but for the money the others are tempting. with vince's unit you can just access a screw through the trans oil drain to adjust the slippage, so theoretically it will last a while until you run out of adjustment.
if i were to do it again i'd spring for jorgens unit.
