It's been a while since I have posted anything but a lot of people have asked me to post this. I never got a chance to throw my 9000 on the dyno up at SOC after Frank tuned it, but I knew that it felt stronger than ever. Well, after a few more transmissions I was curious to know the state of things, specifically where the torque was coming on. Matt Daul just picked up B234'd 900 (with an 18T) from Paul up at Automotion, so he and I rode over to Pro-Dyno here in Charlotte this past Thursday night. The results were interesting....
Matt made 295whp and 380(?) torque. I made 403whp and 495lbs ft but at only 4900 rpm! Evidentally, the dyno operator thought I asked him to stop at 5k, but I really had told him 6500-7000k rpm.
There was definitely more power to be had, but after the first pull, the IC was heat soaked. (tiny fans) I'm not posting this stuff to brag in any way, I was just very happy to see the old girl do so well, I was blown away by my torque numbers, and more intriquing is the hp that the GT30 was able to make with hardly any lag. I'll try to post the sheet tomorrow. :o)
