Hello Wayne, I'm at a loss on what's going on with your plumbing? Are you referring to the water tube under the intake manifold? I've never had any clearance issues with going to a 2.1 head on any water or oil line to the turbo. Does your water tube (under the intake manifold) have a flattened spot along one side, if not I believe the later ones do which could be to clear the lager runners on the 2.1 intake manifold. I have lots of pictures I could send that should help you figure all this out. When I go to a 2.1 head on an earlier than '91 C-900T I go to the late style water line right off the head rather than all the way around over to between the intake runners to the head. I've also used the earlier water line with no problems so I'm not sure what's going on with your situation? Take care, Dave
