Hello all, I've got a classic 1993 900 turbo, with all the goodies (FMIC, larger turbo, K+N filter, APC, JAK's chip for T-5 injectors, 3" pipes from turbo to tailpipe, etc). Makes very good power. I can spin the wheels in second gear and third is almost there too! Only thing, after high boosting several times or running the engine over long periods makes my boost start to lesson and then settles at best in the start of the red on the boost indicator. I don't get that great 3/4 to end of red boost until I shut the engine down for an hour... I drove it with the hood off and it solved the issue totally, boosted all the time to 3/4 to near full end of red. So this must mean it's a HEAT problem. Is my logic correct? How do I solve this? Is water injection the only cure? Cutting ducts and scoops into my hood would be trial and error and done right would be very expensive! Please note that this heat issue occurs on hot days as well as cool nights and even in rain. My engine temp gauge is exactly per Saab spec and has been tested. Please help with guidance. Thank you all.
