Aero,
A 3" exhaust system may require two mufflers when attempting to reduce db or you might consider reinstallation of OEM CC for additional resonation.
Reducing the plumbing size would also dramatically reduce the unwanted exhaust vocals.
Use of a turbocharger upgrade during inital engine modifications will normally render little to no gain in engine BHP and the 1991 T25 turbochargers have more than 240 BHP capabilities. Use of a turbocharger upgrade would be helpful at or after the 230-240 BHP range as a larger compressor will work more efficiently (deliver a cooler charge) and more air volume to engine combustion chambers.
Unfortunately, there is no self tailoring available through the DI/APC as these are effected by EPROM only (no potentiometers as with early APC systems). The DI/APC enhancement will remap turbocharger boost pressures as well as ignition retard and mapping.
After DI/APC or additional engine modifications, fuel mapping can be effectively targeted but use of a fueling modification targeting higher BHP than your current engine BHP will almost always bring an overly rich air/fuel ratio as well as poor fuel economy.
Best Regards,
GaryK at SWEDISH DYNAMICS,INC.
