A 125 shot on a 4 cylinder engine is still a VERY large shot of NOS. Typically the kits for 4 cylinder engines come with jets up to maybe 75HP just off the shelf. That wouldn't even take into account the addition of larger turbos etc. to the equation.
Timing is the key for sure. A/F should be correct for the kit. In other words, if your A/F was OK before, the kit shouldn't change it for the worse. If anything it should run a bit rich on the bottle. The "tune" will pretty much come down to balancing timing and octane.
