Hi everyone,

I've been told that it is possible to put the guts of the 1992 2.3T long block into a 2.0 or a 2.1 c900 and then continue using the 2.0 LH2.4 turbo charging. Anybody ever done this? What I'd really like to have is the butter smooth electric motor delivery of a 2.3Turbo in a c900. I know you can't put the block in there but with the long stroke crank from the 2.3 is it possible to build the 2.3 or 2.5 in a c900 block? Do I have to use the c900 2.1 block? can I use the c900 2.0 block? Why one over the other? I have an complete 1992 2.3T engine on a parts car (bad autobox). I know it ran because we drove it onto the tow dolly (needed a long run as the forward gears are toast and slip with any load) and backed it into my back yard, reverse works just fine. Have harvested many items from it including the fuel pump, the Nivomats, DI, the entire R-12 A/C system, rear window, engine electronics, window regulator, and the turbo (put it on one of my other 1992 CDT's).

So the engine and any parts internal to it are available for this project. I also have a 2.1 NA and a 2.0 NA on engine stands in my garage.

Anyone give me a direction for this?

thanks,

-oldsaab
