spool up time - what's best for T5?..T7?

A few posts previous to this one, Nick T made some very respectable power on his T7 viggen with a gt3071 turbo and 264 degree cams. Nevertheless, if acheiving power was Nick's goal, why not use a gt3076 and avoid the expense of the 264 degree cams?
Or am I missing something? Like... say....Nick T. wanted to maintain a factory spool up time (the spool up time that you get from a smaller factory turbo) and also acheive more bhp (hence the addition of the gt3071 and 264 cams). To do this on a T7 system, did Nick decided to get the best of both worlds by choosing the gt3071 and 264 cams to make very good power and use the T7 system (which allows one to map the throttle body) to ensure a quick spool up time? If so, is this the best set up T7? Could a similar set up be used on T5? I don't think so as T5 doesn't allow for throttle body mapping and the 264 degree cams would only cause more turbo lag off the get go.
Any thoughts on this one would be appreciated.
Cheers
