The ETS intercooler by Genuine Saab is a very nice intercooler. However, the problem occurs when the ETS intercooler gets placed in the factory position - between the rad and the a/c condensor. This will effect your performance as the intercooler will not be able to breath as well as being placed out front. Ask me how I know?? My original setup was with a group9 intercooler placed between the rad and the a/c condensor. The group9 intercooler indeed was superior to the factory intercooler as it held the higher psi from my tune. However, in the summer time it would become heat soaked sitting at intersections. Not until you started driving in traffic would the intercooler cool down to give you some performance back. I sold my group9 intercooler to a buddy to put on his truck. I now have a Vibrant intercooler mounted out front and love it. Admittedly it was much more work to get mounted and re-work the turbo pipes (both on the hot and cool side of the intercooler) then putting in an ETS intercooler in the factory location. But the work is well worth it - in hot weather I get about 20 - 21 psi of boost straight up to red line (my redline is 7000 rpm). In cold weather (i.e. about 20F), I can get spikes up to 25 psi. The work for a front mounted intercooler was well worth it. You too should consider such a set up.
