Well, finally my mech managed to finish my B234L engine rebuilt just a few days ago...
Have not much luxury, but to go with 0.64-0.65 mm piston ring's end gap even we'd threw in new ring set, and that's way over spec (0.3-0.5 mm) of the gap it should for a rebuilt engine..
I only hope 900Aero's comment was right that the larger gap won't do harm to engine perf & oil consumption.
As of now I only did a few runs on the car for bearings & ring to break-in.
So could not observe oil consumption yet.
But performance vice, when performing breaking in procedure for rings with moderate accel from 2K to 4K rpm with JSP S5 SW, and to run only base boost (around 0.8bar), the car pulls like a charm :)
Anyway, I could observe the vacuum at idle from tech2 and it says ~40Kpa = about -18 inhg and having about -16inhg when A/C on & put in Drive (I've an A/). Does this figure sounds about okay for a B234? any clue on too much blow-by here?
Will keep you guys post on this issue ! Thanks you guys all again helping me through this!
