'if properly installed and properly adjusted it is one of the best driveability changes you can make'
I certainly respect Ed's comment but my experiences with this particular product have been less than favorable. Indeed, I have had my unit adjusted (often entailing complete removal from my Viggen) no fewer than six times in the last two years because of factors including: not being able to shift into reverse, not being able to shift into fifth, the shaft coming completely off the unit, etc.
Lest anyone wish to argue that my unit was not 'properly installed and properly adjusted' some of the extremely knowledgeable individuals that have attempted to reconcile the issues with my short-shifter include Dan and Mike at the Swedish Auto Factory (Santa Clara, CA), Damien Shulock, and Justin vanAbrahams.
In summary, my short-shifter has been a great disappointment. (And, yes, I attempted to return it but that experience represents an entirely separate story).
