My apologies if I am posting this to the wrong board; however, since my question should be pretty standard fare for those in the Saab tuning community...here goes.
I've got a '99 9-3 with the weld separated on the flex pipe before the cat. My replacement downpipe (everything from the 1st exhaust clamp forward) arrived yesterday, and after soaking all necessary bolts in pb blaster overnight, i set off today to make the swap. As you might imagine, I didn't get any further than 5 minutes along, as one of the two top studs snapped off as soon as I took a ratchet to it. My assumption is that going to more than likely snap the others off, so buying new studs just makes sense. I'm on eeuroparts and am looking at part# 7985146K, and it seems to be pretty inclusive of everything I'll need to do this job right. (As a side note, I'm also getting a new set of flange nuts, a new exhaust manifold gasket, and a new turbo-manifold gasket along with new O2 sensors since it's been running 'wide open' for way too long now. Plus, I figure I'll change those gaskets out since I'll be in that region of the car anyway.)
All that said, am I approaching this the right way...or have I gone awry somewhere? My biggest concern is that I will reach a stopping point due to lack of hardware...or worse yet, incorrect hardware. Any help is appreciated and I sincerely thank you in advance.
