If you are taking the bumper off, you'll see that there is a limited amount of space on either side of the radiator to run the hoses through. I'd measure the distance between these two openings, and that would be about the longest length you could get away with.
For the thickness, the narrowest point will be between the bumper and radiator above the openings for the hoses.
For the height, you'll need to be able to fit the intercooler between the lower AC pipes which run across the bottom of the radiator and some AC part that sits in front of the radiator.
If you go over to jakstollperformance.com, and take a look in the trionic 5 performance parts, there's a good picture of his intercooler on a car with a bumper off, and you'll see the parts it fits between, which might help you pick what dimensions to measure.
