While you still have your timing light in place for reseting the timing to 22 degrees BTDC pump the unit up to around 20 psi to make sure the timing goes back to 10 or 11 degrees BTDC. If it doesn't retard far enough insert the tool in the hole in the rivet that holds the stop in place and lift up on it until the timing stays where it belongs. I've never had one retard too far but pushing down on the tool would bring the retard back to where the timing needs to be. I also tried emailing you however I must have an old address as it came back undeliverable?
