Not in any of my cars. By the time you see low oil pressure you already have an issue.
The best setup is a pressure sensor hooked to extra ecu input and a lookup table since for example 10psi might be ok at idle but at 5K its quite low. see the fault in a switch. You cant watch a gauge so it needs to see rpm and pressure. But at that all you need is a warning light. Red light comes on = hit kill switch.
If you are making enough power its hard to look at the wideband. This is where logging is nice.
