First time 8 mile trip average driving morning 70 degrees

at the turbo exhaust snail next to down pipe: 946*
at the valve cover : 215*
at the charge pipe near battery : 145*


second drive same trip but home 8 miles more down hill but evening 6 pm

turbo exhaust snail : 612*
valve cover : 205*
charge pipe : 154*


third drive 8 miles same drive to work morning 70* but more spirited drive

turbo exhaust snail : 970*
at the valve cover : 220*
charge pipe : 150*

forth drive different drive very spirited driving about 7 miles 85 degrees outside

turbo exhaust snail : 990 to over 1000* thermo max)
valve cover : 230*
charge pipe : 190*
oil pan flat of bottom : 228*
top radiator hose : 222*

fifth drive 14 miles average driving 85 to 90 degrees out mid day

turbo exhaust snail : 890*
valve cover : 230-220*
charge pipe : 151.7*
oil pan flat of bottom : 220*
top radiator hose : 209*
oil filter : 209*


seems pretty hot to me. I changed my oil the other night roughly 3400 miles on it and I just went through the whole motor less than 15k ago and it seems like the oil was starting to break down or sludge. I assume from heat? I have no cat to add oil pan heat though. Any words on these temps?

BTW this is NOT A factory set up this is stage 3 nordic with td04-15hl turbo and some other work
