I had 205-50's on my SPG for a while with slight rubbing. Only on severely steep parking lot entrances as well as fast sweeping turns which are slightly uneven. My springs are stock & the KYB shocks have 130K on them, so they are worn out :o( But I have Intrax/Koni stuff just waiting to be thrown on.
So what I did, is I think what SB did with his 900 AERO. I purchased the SAS air bags ($100) which fit inside the rear springs & can easily be adjusted to reduce the rear wheel travel. If the trunk is full with people, or stuff, I will just pump it up a bit. That is suppose to end the rubbing problems.
I then sold my aero rims & bought 17's. I was going to go with 215-45-17 (17x7) but have since decided to sell them & go with a larger rim as well as tires. 225-35-18 (18x7) is what I will hopefully be using, IF I can sell my 17's :o) I am not sure If i will have to do some wheel arch mods to eliminate any rubbing, time will tell :o)
