Cheaper is to start with a plain 9-3. In the end you will most likely only keep the spoilers and maybe door panels. ;) With the right suspension they can be pretty fun. The t5 94-99 cars are a bit cheaper but the motors not as great. The B205 will make 700 pretty easily, the key is keeping it all balanced so that you dont end up with a car that breaks all the time.
Take a look at some of my cars. They perform pretty well. ;)
