Hi John, first off I don't believe in fabricating a 3" down pipe without doing a proper 7 degree transition as well as some way of dividing the wasted exhaust from the main stream exhaust! We used a 4.5" center-line radius 3" 16 gauge U-Bend from Burns Stainless part number UB-300-45-16-304. If you study my 900 Aero photos especially the Classic 900 3" exhaust one you'll see how the 3 piece band clamp down pipe attaches to my 3" high flow cat. That system was for a friend that already had an external waste gate so it's not the way I usually divide the exhausts. If you look in my modified T3 swing valve assembly album you'll see how we do this in a Garrett T3 application. If you want to do one for a Mitsubishi TE05 I have lots of photos I can send you if you send me your email address. Take care, Dave
