Good drag car platform.

Hi there. I'm looking to make myself a budget, weekend warrior drag car. I'm instantly addicted after watching my friend's old Integra with a $3000 ebay turbo motor pull high 12s all day last Saturday.

If my research is correct, the NG900/9-3 only weighs about 3100 lbs. That can be reduced by several hundred pounds by stripping in interior, AC, power options, etc. So, I think a 9-3 would do quite well with it's 185hp and a pair of slicks.

This 1991 Integra I talked about is an old project car he had from years ago. All said and done, less than 300whp and street drag radials, he ran 12.72 at 112mph. Surely, a stage 3 turbo Saab 900/9-3 stripped down would keep up.

Any thoughts from experienced Saab drag racers?
