ECU tuning and ETS
Posted by SMP (more from SMP) on Fri, 17 Oct 2014 11:58:53
I have a mechanically sound 1993 9k Aero 5sp. I am interested in upgrading to a stage 1 ecu tune and including the T7 bpc valve modification.
My question is:
Will I need to "calibrate" the re-mapped ecu to match up with my current throttle body? Because this car has the electronic throttle system I am afraid that I'll get everything installed and find that the TB doesn't recognize the ECU and get error codes or worse, LHM.
Also I have been looking at Europarts or maybe Brew city boost as options for tuning due to their low prices and core charge return policies.
Does anyone have experience with the vendors when doing basic ecu tunes?
