A 9000 intercooler will fit on the front of any 900 reguardless of whether it has an airflow kit or not. You need to remove the AC condensor and the intercooler will pretty much slide into place. ****HOWEVER**** if you just put it right in, it will sit very close to the ground, and its life will most likely be a short one. What I did to mount mine (a full unmodified 9k intercooler) was to cut the radiator support a bit so that the intercooler could slide higher up and not be so close to the ground. I am running an airflow kit, so the intercooler is hidden behind it. However Luke's car is just an 80 turbo. I am running spg springs and bilstiens, and a rally skid plate and I have yet to hit the intercooler, and only bumped the airflow kit a couple of times.
I am still working bugs out of the car, but it is running a lot better now, and boosting much better as well.
