8V Turbo + 5th injector/water injection max boost?

Hello,
I have recently finished installing ERL's Aquamist water injection system and thier MF2 mappable fuel injection driver to my 1989 UK 900 T8V. I am using the cold start injector as the fifth injector. Anyway, the results have been pretty impressive (to put it mildly!). I set up my APC as the 'Type-M', and I set base boost to 0.4 bar. I am seeing a max boost of 1.2 bar for short periods up to 3000 rpm, but it usually retards to 0.9 bar around 3100 rpm before going back up to 1.1 bar by about 5000rpm. I have no a/f device fitted to the car so I cannot tell if I am suffering slight lean-ness during this period, but what I am presuming is that the problem is down to the APC box.
When the car is boosting at 1.2 bar it is faster than I can ever remember it, but because the APC kicks it back to 0.9 bar a lot of the momentum is lost. As the boost returns to over 1 bar by 4000 rpm I presume that fueling / cooling is not a problem, but what I want is to overcome the initial drop-back. How can I do this?
Incidentally the car has an intercooler, K&N and 2 1/2 exhaust without cat and only one silencer box, and is also perfectly in tune.
Sorry for being slightly vague in my descriptions,
Angus M Smith
PS I would like to get in contact with other 8V owners who have tuned up thier cars, to swap ideas / information with. I think we are a dying breed!
