i would tend to agree with the oil pressure, and i would have USED to agree on the oil temperature, but after having installed a VDO oil temp gauge, I have to say that i've got my answers on that one. If you're running synthetic, you'll watch your gauge slooooooooowly creep up to around 180 degrees or so, and then stay there within a few degrees no matter what kind of driving.
Not sure if it's the huge oil cooler or the poor heat exchange of synthetic oil, but I think i'm going to replace the oil temp with something more informative, probably a pyrometer.
