I've thought up all sorts of ways.
One you could make a system that is only really made for the track. A closed system that could be attached to the car. In this system the cooler would be completly frozen and thaw as it was used. Not sure how it would work but an "idea".
Secondly use an "ICE MAN" this is what we use for patients who have had a joint replacment surgery. It is designed from a very large cooler where we put ice and lots of water. The cold water is then pumped through a very long insulated cord to a very large pad. The water temp is around 40-50 degrees and last for about six to four hours. This system could be modified to a charge cooler where this cooler would cool the car. Again this is all theory and again I use this iceman all the time but I have no idea of where one could be bought and at what price but very ideal for your idea.
Third make a closed system an add nitrogen. Very expensive but it would work for a very long time at very cold temps.
Forth forget the whole idea of adding a chargecooler and add water injection. People have been using it for years and again it can made very easily but that is more of part two of this post.
