Yes and no is the only real answer ... yes, if you're pushing the car hard using WOT and all the revs, you're putting more stress on components which *can* lead to accelerated wear -- but see below. But no, all manufacturers test these cars to breakdown and beyond over literally millions of miles on the bench and on the road.
You may hit the limiter two or three times a week at most in normal everyday driving, but in testing at the factory Saab has had motors running on the bench at max. continuous rpm for days on end. It's almost impossible to replicate that kind of hard treatment on the road due to speed traps, police, other drivers etc.
The key point is to be sympathetic to the engine ... let the oil warm up fully before you cane it (say 5 miles driving), use good oil, change it within the service intervals, use good fuel and it's very unlikely that your car will even stretch its reliability envelope.
