When I say sort of, I mean that I pulled the airbox and filter and installed the K&N I used to run in the 900T. But I didn't get the Pipe yet, so right now the filer is sort of half in half out of the fender. It's a tight fit so tomorrow I'm getting some "gasket tape" to go around the edge of the fender. I'd rather not need to replace the K&N because of rubbing.
Eventually (sometime in the next month) I want to get the Pipe (Wasn't sure if PVC would hold up) and do it the right way (isolate it in the fender).
I didn't cut the stock intake pipe, just trimmed the lip off it, after that the filter slid right on, clamped it, done.
My problem is now how do I reliably secure the PVC to the intake hose and the filter. I had thought about a reducer so that I can clamp the intake hose onto the reducer and then the filter onto the PVC. (Cuz it's hard to clamp PVC onto something else). Maybe 2.5" would do the trick? Just my thoughts. I took a few pictures, should have them up by Sunday. Drop me an email and I can send what I have to you.

the other thing is, there's plenty of room in the fender for a MUCH larger filter. I was thinking about waiting a bit and then getting a HUGE one. Eh, whatever, I'm all talk ;-)
Drop me a line if you want pics, just make sure the subject says Pics or intake or something (I get lots of SPAM)
